The 2011 EPA Award competition sees the highest number of entries ever. 34 candidatures were submitted by the operators in all four categories.
16 parking structures have been entered in category 1: new carpark. Seven renovated car parks compete in category 2. Three on-street schemes (category 3) have been entered and eight innovative projects in category 4 apply for an Award.
Entries come from 11 countries all over Europe.
The Board selected the shortlist on April 1, 2011. Those shortlisted objects will be visited and inspected by the jury. The jury will furthermore choose one candidate from any of the four categories for a special jury award. In 2011 this special award will honour a project or scheme that has a focus on green issues and makes a considerable effort in reducing energy or being climate friendly.
The Award winners in each category will be presented on the 15th EPA congress in Turin from September 14-16, 2011.
